Rafael Benitez has warned Shakhtar Donetsk that his Real Madrid team are "eager for revenge" after losing their last two league games.
Before the international break, Real were beaten 3-2 at Sevilla, before losing 4-0 at home to Barcelona in El Clasico at the weekend.
The Spanish giants have already qualified for the knockout stages of the Champions League, but Benitez has insisted that his team will be at full throttle when they face Shakhtar on Wednesday.
"Obviously we haven't deteriorated. We have a great team, a great squad, we were 14 unbeaten, leaders and with spectacular numbers," Benitez told AS.
"It's true we've lost the last two league games and the last one was important , and we are hurt and eager for revenge. We have to win as soon as possible."
Benitez was given a vote of confidence by Real Madrid president Florentino Perez earlier this week.
