Real Madrid goalkeeper Iker Casillas has revealed that he is "very happy" for the club's supporters following the capital outfit's progression into the final of the Champions League.
Los Blancos booked their spot in Lisbon following a 4-0 victory over Bayern Munich in the second leg of their semi-final last night, with that score seeing Madrid advance 5-0 on aggregate.
"I'm very happy, but not for me. I'm happy for my fellow Madrid fans. What we have to do now is it enjoy. The team has been very strong. We've had look, good fortune, and now the joy of providing a Champions League final to our fans," he told AS.
"Bayern are the champions. The people weren't wrong [to make them favourites]. You had to respect them.
"We've been within touching distance of the final three times so it had to be the fourth. The team was very focused and solid to the end. I think we are deserved winners of the semi-final."
Madrid will face either Chelsea or Atletico Madrid in the final.
