Iker Casillas has claimed that Real Madrid "hit rock bottom" with their Champions League defeat to Schalke 04 at the Bernabeu.
The holders booked their place in the quarter-finals with a 5-4 aggregate success despite losing the second leg of the tie 4-3, and Casillas offered no excuses for Real's form following three games without a win in all competitions.
"It's true we have hit rock bottom in a most resounding way," the Spanish goalkeeper told reporters. "But the positive is that we will be in the draw next Friday.
"When that draw is made we will forget what has happened over the past 10 days – they have been dramatic.
"We must think about tomorrow, we cannot look back, nor dwell on the 22 successive wins [earlier in the season] or anything else we have achieved."
Real are back in action against Levante in La Liga this Sunday.
