Paris Saint-Germain talisman Zlatan Ibrahimovic has declared that he is desperate for Carlo Ancelotti to stay on as manager next season.
The experienced Italian has been strongly linked with the vacant Real Madrid post and had a request to leave PSG turned down earlier this month.
Ibrahimovic believes that Ancelotti is integral to the future success of PSG and has helped develop his game with a more relaxed attitude than he has experienced under previous managers.
He is quoted by Football Espana as saying: "I don't want the coach to go, I think he has done a fantastic job here. He is the perfect man for this project and has a very good relationship with the players.
"I've worked with some great coaches, but not one that has this sort of relationship with the squad. I think that's the key to our success.
"I've never had a coach like Carlo. For me, he is something new. I'm used to iron discipline, like Jose Mourinho or Fabio Capello, but Carlo is much gentler. I like him. I hope he doesn't leave."
The 53-year-old guided PSG to their first Ligue 1 title since 1994 this season and also helped the French giants reach their first Champions League quarter-final.
