Real Madrid defender Sergio Ramos has revealed his delight after his team progressed to the semi-finals of the Champions League with a 3-0 success over Wolfsburg on Tuesday night.
Los Blancos entered the second leg of their quarter-final tie trailing 2-0 following a shock defeat in Germany last week, but a Cristiano Ronaldo hat-trick saw the Spanish giants turn it around on home soil.
"It was sensational, from the first minute to the last," Ramos told reporters. "When the fans really get behind the team they are like another player. The team played with all its spirit.
"For those who doubted Ronaldo, he has vindicated himself again. We need him. There were people that thought the comeback was not possible but we managed the rhythm of the game well. It's been a complicated season for me, with a lot of pain. I needed a night like this and now we're going to enjoy this."
Manchester City have also joined Real Madrid in the final four after overcoming Paris Saint-Germain.
