UEFA have revealed that there were no "irregular betting patterns" surrounding two Champions League matches last night.
The governing body investigated two results in the European competition that could have been linked to illegal betting scams.
Lyon went into their final group clash needing to surpass Ajax in the group, which was deemed an unlikely possibility.
Despite doubts of qualification, Lyon racked up a surprising 7-1 result against Dinamo Zagreb while Real Madrid defeated the Dutch side 3-0, resulting in the Ligue 1 claiming a spot in the final 16.
"For the time being this system has not shown any irregular betting patterns around yesterday's games or their outcome that would justify any enquiry on that front," said a spokesperson from UEFA.
The European body, who used Betting Fraud Detections System to investigate the claims, have stated that they will continue to monitor the situation.
