How Real Madrid could line up against Galatasaray

Sports Mole predicts how Real Madrid could line up in Tuesday's Champions League clash with Galatasaray.

Real Madrid will be looking to bounce back from Saturday's 1-0 loss at Mallorca when they travel to Galatasaray in the group stages of the Champions League on Tuesday night.

Los Blancos have only picked up one point from their two Group A fixtures thus far, following a 3-0 loss away to Paris Saint-Germain with a 2-2 home draw against Club Brugge.

Madrid have triumphed in 14 of their last 23 away matches in European competition, though, while they recorded a 6-1 victory over Galatasaray when they last travelled to the Turkish giants in September 2013.

Here, Sports Mole looks at how the capital outfit could line up in Istanbul.

Out: Marco Asensio (knee), Nacho (knee), Lucas Vazquez (calf), Gareth Bale (calf), Luka Modric (dead leg)

Dani Carvajal and Eden Hazard were both left out of Saturday's clash with Mallorca, with the former rested and the latter given time off following the birth of his fourth child. The duo are set to return on Tuesday night, although head coach Zinedine Zidane will still be without a number of key players.

Marco Asensio and Nacho were always going to be unavailable due to knee injuries, but there was hope that the likes of Lucas Vazquez, Gareth Bale and Luka Modric could be available for the match.

Bale and Modric both missed the clash with Mallorca due to injuries that were picked up over the international break - neither are serious issues, but the pair have not been included in the travelling squad, while the same can also be said for Lucas due to a calf problem.

There is a return for Toni Kroos, though, and the Germany international is expected to line up alongside Federico Valverde and Casemiro in midfield, with Vinicius Junior potentially featuring further forward.

Summer arrival Ferland Mendy was on the bench on Saturday and could feature, though, while Raphael Varane is almost certain to return to the back four having been an unused substitute last time out.

The likes of Sergio Ramos and Karim Benzema will keep their spots, but Zidane is expected to ring the changes with a number of players - including struggling centre-forward Luka Jovic - disappointing in their first league defeat of the season.
