A first-half strike from Nacho has given Real Madrid a 1-0 victory over Paris Saint-Germain in the Champions League this evening.
The visitors dominated proceedings for much of the first half, as Blaise Matuidi met a low Serge Aurier cross to test Madrid keeper Keylor Navas, before Zlatan Ibrahimovic curled an effort wide from inside the box.
Real Madrid took the lead against the run of play on 35 minutes through Nacho, as the substitute left-back pounced onto a loose ball following a blocked Toni Kroos effort.
PSG almost found a first-half equaliser, as Adrien Rabiot struck the post from distance, before Navas denied Edinson Cavani from close range.
Both sides came close to adding to the scoreline after the break, as Angel di Maria forced a low save from Navas, before Cristiano Ronaldo blazed an effort over the bar at the other end of the pitch.
Isco twice came close to doubling the hosts' advantage, as PSG keeper Kevin Trapp kept out an effort in the top right corner of the net, before a header from inside the box fell straight to the German shot-stopper.
Kroos came close to a second Real Madrid goal on 82 minutes, as the German forced a good save from Trapp in the bottom corner of the goal, before Di Maria struck the crossbar with a late free kick at the other end of the pitch.
