Real Madrid have work to do in the second leg of their fifth-round Copa del Rey clash with Celta Vigo after losing 2-1 on Wednesday.
Celta drew first blood before the hour mark when Mario Bermejo ghosted into the box to tap home from close range.
They had their second after 78 minutes when Cristian Bustos rattled an effort into the top corner.
Cristiano Ronaldo gave Madrid late hope, however, when he finished from close range in the final moments of normal time.
Here, Sports Mole dissects the 90 minutes of action between the two clubs.
Was the result fair?
Without doubt. Celta were the better side for long periods this evening with their counter-attacking style causing the Madrid defence all sorts of problems. It wasn't as if Madrid created plenty of chances and missed the target, because the home side's pressing style forced Jose Mourinho's side into a host of long-range efforts.
Celta Vigo's performance
8/10. This was Celta's best performance of the season to date. They grew into the latter stages of the opening period and were the better side in the second half. The only disappointment is that they conceded in the latter stages, which places Madrid as the favourites to advance from the second leg next week.
Real Madrid's performance
5/10. Another away match and another defeat for Madrid. They have been almost untouchable on home soil this season but continue to struggle away from the Spanish capital. The late strike from Ronaldo has given them a real chance ahead of the second leg next week, but it has only papered over some cracks at the Spanish champions.
Sports Mole's man of the match
Iago Aspas: The Betis attacker was the star of the show this evening with his movement and pace causing all sorts of problems to the Madrid defence. Surely the 25-year-old will be picked up by a bigger club in the next season or two.
Biggest gaffe of the match
Park Chu-Young had two glorious chances to put the home side ahead in the opening period, but poor finishing allowed the chances to go to waste. It was really poor from the on-loan Arsenal striker.
Referee performance
Alfonso Alvarez had a successful 90 minutes of action this evening. He allowed the play to flow in the correct areas and took into account the conditions when issuing free kicks and bookings.
What next?
Celta Vigo: Celta face Real Betis in their next league match at the weekend before the second leg against Madrid next Tuesday.
Real Madrid: Madrid return to league action at home to lowly Espanyol on Sunday before welcoming Celta to the Bernabeu for the second leg next Tuesday.
