Robert Lewandowski has been named on the Barcelona bench for El Clasico, while Jude Bellingham will sample the fixture for the first time after being included in the Real Madrid XI.

Barcelona announced on Saturday morning that Lewandowski, Raphinha and Jules Kounde had all returned to the squad following injury problems, but the trio are on the bench for the Catalan giants.

Head coach Xavi has decided to move Ronald Araujo to right-back for this afternoon's clash, with Inigo Martinez and Andreas Christensen lining up in the middle of the defence.

There is a huge vote of confidence for Fermin Lopez in midfield, meanwhile, with the youngster given the nod following his excellent performance against Shakhtar Donetsk in the Champions League.

Gavi and Ilkay Gundogan join Fermin in the middle, with Joao Cancelo selected further forward, as Xavi looks to deal with the threat of Real Madrid's Vinicius Junior.

There had been some concern over Joao Felix's fitness due to a problem which forced him off the field late on against Shakhtar, but the Portugal international lines up in the final third of the field.

Ferran Torres is given the nod down the middle for the La Liga champions, with Lamine Yamal, somewhat surprisingly, among the substitutes for the first whistle.

As for Real Madrid, Bellingham is in the side despite concerns over a groin problem which he picked up against Braga in the Champions League last week.

The midfielder has been in excellent form for Los Blancos this season, scoring 11 goals and registering three assists in 12 appearances in all competitions.

Ferland Mendy is the given the nod at left-back, with the France international starting ahead of both Fran Garcia and Eduardo Camavinga, who are on the bench.

Toni Kroos features in central midfield, with Luka Modric on the bench, while Rodrygo keeps his spot in the final third of the field despite Joselu returning to the squad following illness.

Nacho is also back from a domestic ban, with the Spaniard among the substitutes for the away side.
