Real Madrid and Atletico Madrid are level at 1-1 after the first half of their La Liga clash at the Bernabeu this evening.
The visitors took the lead in the 10th minute when Tiago headed in Koke's corner at the near post.
Midway through the first half, the hosts came close when Gareth Bale saw his curling free kick tipped wide by Miguel Angel Moya.
In the 26th minute, Madrid were given the chance to level the scores when Cristiano Ronaldo was brought down inside the box by Guilherme Siqueira.
Ronaldo stepped up to take the spot kick and made no mistake with a low effort into the bottom corner that sent Moya the wrong way.
The home side took control of the match and Karim Benzema dragged a shot wide from the edge of the box, before seeing a close-range header beaten away by the keeper as the half finished level.
