Real Madrid have headed into half time with a 2-0 lead over Eibar in a first 45 that saw both sides have a goal disallowed at the Bernabeu this afternoon.
The home side had the first change inside the opening five minutes when Isco tried his luck from distance, but the winger's strike was deflected just wide.
The visitors thought that they had opened the scoring though when Borja Fernandez tapped in from close range, but a foul by Raul Navas in the build up forced the referee to rule it out.
The home side also had a goal disallowed a few minutes later when Javier Hernandez turned the ball in from just a few yards out, but he had been offside as the ball was played forward.
The deadlock was finally broken with just over 20 minutes played as Cristiano Ronaldo lined up a free kick, and the movement off the ball sent Xabi Irureta the wrong way.
Real doubled the lead 10 minutes later as Hernandez found the back of the net again, and this time it counted as he headed in from an Alvaro Arbeloa cross.
