Real Madrid will be looking to make it back-to-back wins in their Champions League section when they welcome Sheriff Tiraspol to the Bernabeu on Tuesday night.

Carlo Ancelotti's side opened their Group D campaign with a 1-0 victory over Inter Milan on September 15, with Rodrygo scoring a late winner for Los Blancos at San Siro.

The capital giants will enter this contest off the back of a goalless draw with Villarreal, but they are top of La Liga, having collected 17 points from their first seven league games of the 2021-22 campaign.

Gareth Bale is set for an extended spell on the sidelines due to the hamstring injury that he picked up ahead of the clash with Celta Vigo on September 12.


Toni Kroos

Status: Major doubt
Type of injury: Hip
Possible return date: September 28 (vs. Sheriff)

Toni Kroos is working his way back from a hip problem and could potentially be in the squad against Sheriff, having trained alongside his teammates ahead of the clash with Villarreal.


Ferland Mendy

Status: Out
Type of injury: Muscle
Possible return date: Unknown

Ferland Mendy is currently unavailable for selection due to a muscular problem, but the Frenchman has started to train on the grass at the club's training ground and could return soon after the international break.


Marcelo
