Karim Benzema misses Real Madrid's last training session ahead of El Clasico against Barcelona on Sunday.

Karim Benzema has missed the most recent training session prior to Sunday's El Clasico with Barcelona.

Just two days prior to one of the biggest games of the season for Real Madrid, the French international has sat out of training due to an injury.

Benzema sustained a problem to his right foot during Madrid's recent Champions League fixture with Shakhtar Donetsk, which was a game he scored in during the 5-0 victory.

However, while he was able to finish that match, the forward did not participate in training today, although he is not expected to miss the derby on Sunday with this just being a precaution.

Madrid do not have any other injury concerns heading into the fixture, but Carlo Ancelotti will be keen to have Benzema involved as he is the current top goalscorer in La Liga, having found the back of the net nine times so far.
