Real Madrid have confirmed that striker Karim Benzema has suffered a right hamstring injury.
The Frenchman came off at half time during Tuesday night's goalless draw with Manchester City in the semi-finals of the Champions League, and there are doubts now over whether he will be fit for next week's return leg in Spain.
A statement from Los Blancos read: "Following tests carried out today on the player Karim Benzema at the Sanitas La Moraleja University Hospital, he has been diagnosed with a muscle injury in his right hamstring. His recovery will continue to be assessed."
Real were already without top-scorer Cristiano Ronaldo, who remains a doubt for next week with a thigh injury.
