Real Madrid midfielder Luka Modric has revealed his delight after returning to action following a knee problem.
The Croatian international missed eight matches for the Spanish giants after suffering an injury to his left knee in September, but returned to action as a second-half substitute against Leganes at the weekend.
Modric has said that he 'feels happy to return', but is aware that he "must keep working" after a long period on the sidelines.
"I feel happy to be back with the team," Modric told reporters. "Now I must keep working and recover physically. I must thank the fans for the lovely welcome they gave me. That helps you to feel good on the pitch. The most important thing is I felt good, with no issues."
Injuries have restricted Modric to just five league appearances this season.
