Real Madrid are reportedly hoping to have summer arrival Arda Guler fit and available for the La Liga contest with Las Palmas at the end of September.
The 18-year-old is believed to have rejected the chance to make the move to Barcelona in favour of joining Carlo Ancelotti's side from Fenerbahce at the start of July.
Guler is yet to make his debut for the capital giants, though, as he had been struggling with a knee problem which ultimately required surgery in the middle of August.
The operation was only a minor procedure, and according to Mundo Deportivo, the Turkey international could be available to make his debut against Las Palmas on September 27.
The report claims that the recovery has been 'much faster than expected', with the youngster initially expected to be on the sidelines for at least two months from the date of the operation.
Guler scored nine goals and registered 12 assists in his 51 first-team appearances for Fenerbahce before making the move to the Spanish capital over the summer.
The Turk is expected to be a regular for Real Madrid this season, although it is unclear what position he will occupy, as Jude Bellingham is currently playing as the number 10 in a 4-3-1-2 formation.
Rodrygo and Vinicius Junior have been operating as the front two early in the campaign, but the latter missed out against Getafe last time out due to injury.
Ancelotti's side have been in strong form in the opening weeks of the season, beating Athletic Bilbao, Almeria, Celta Vigo and Getafe to top the La Liga table with 12 points.
Bellingham has been Real Madrid's standout player this season, with the 20-year-old, who arrived from Borussia Dortmund, scoring five times in his first four appearances for his new club.
Kepa Arrizabalaga has also now worked his way into the side as the first-choice goalkeeper, while Fran Garcia and Joselu have also played important roles early in the campaign.
Brahim Diaz is also back at the club this season following a loan spell at AC Milan, and the Spaniard has made two La Liga appearances during the 2023-24 campaign.
Real Madrid, who are currently being linked with a move for Manchester City's Julian Alvarez, will be bidding to make it five straight wins in the league when they welcome Real Sociedad to Bernabeu next weekend. body check tags ::
