Real Madrid will be aiming to book their spot in the final of the Spanish Super Cup when they take on Atletico Madrid in the semi-finals of the competition on Wednesday night.

Carlo Ancelotti's side recorded a 1-0 win over Mallorca on their return to action after the winter break, with the result leaving them top of the La Liga table on 48 points, before beating Arandina 3-1 in the Copa del Rey round of 32 on Saturday.

Los Blancos will tackle Atletico in the final four of this competition ahead of a potential final against Barcelona or Osasuna next weekend.

Here, Sports Mole rounds up Real Madrid's injury and suspension news ahead of their clash with Atletico, who were 3-1 winners over Lugo in the Copa del Rey last time out.

Militao underwent surgery on the serious knee injury that he suffered in the team's season opener, and the defender will be unavailable for selection for at least another three months.

Real Madrid were again without Mendy in the Copa del Rey due to a muscular problem, but the defender is expected to be back in the squad for the clash with Atletico.

Real Madrid will be missing back-up right-back Vazquez for at least the next three weeks due to a hamstring problem which he picked up ahead of the clash with Arandina.
