Achraf Hakimi has revealed his delight after making his first-team debut for Real Madrid on Sunday night.
The 18-year-old, who came through the Los Blancos youth system, was handed a start against Espanyol at the Bernabeu due to the absences of Dani Carvajal and Marcelo.
Achraf impressed in his team's 2-0 victory, and the Moroccan international has said that he will "never forget" making his debut for "the best club in the world".
"I received a phone call from the coach to tell me I would be playing," Marca quotes Achraf as saying. "He advised me to stay calm during the game and honestly this is a day I will never forget – it was a very happy day for me to make my debut at the best club in the world.
"I've had a lot of help from my teammates and colleagues to help me reach this level and I have worked very hard, but they all make it easier."
Achraf, who is already a three-time Moroccan international, made 28 appearances for Real Madrid B last season.
