Carlo Ancelotti has credited Karim Benzema following Real Madrid's 3-0 victory over local rivals Getafe earlier today.
The encounter at the Coliseum Alfonso Perez was locked at 0-0 when, in the 63rd minute, the French striker produced some neat skill on the left byline, before setting up Cristiano Ronaldo to break the deadlock from close range.
Speaking after the final whistle, Ancelotti believes that Benzema's actions provided his side with the platform to go on to record a convincing win.
"That bit of play from Benzema was spectacular, I don't know what else to say. They whole team played well. His bit of play was the key to winning the game, what he did was extraordinary," the Italian head coach told reporters.
The victory has moved Los Blancos four points clear of second-placed Barcelona at the top of La Liga.
