Real Madrid boss Carlo Ancelotti has insisted that Cristiano Ronaldo played an important role in Sunday's 2-0 win over Levante.
The Portuguese cut a frustrated figure for much of the match as he drew a blank despite a number of opportunities.
However, Ancelotti has said that the attacker was "alive in the game" and played an important part for the hosts.
"I think Cristiano was alive in the game because it was his shot that came off the bar for [Gareth] Bale to score the first goal, and the second came from another of his efforts. He hasn't scored, but he was alive in the game," Ancelotti told reporters.
Ronaldo is two goals behind Barcelona's Lionel Messi in the race to finish as top scorer in La Liga this season.
