Real Madrid head coach Carlo Ancelotti has confirmed that Gareth Bale will make his debut for the club against Villarreal this weekend.
There were doubts whether the Welshman would feature for the Spanish giants since making his world-record £85m move from Tottenham Hotspur due to a lack of match fitness.
However, following numerous training sessions with Madrid this week, Ancelotti has decided to hand the 24-year-old his debut.
"I don't know if he will start, but he will play some of the match," Sky Sports News quotes Ancelotti as saying. "He is very exciting and very motivated."
Bale has not started a competitive club game since the final day of the season for Spurs.
