Real Madrid boss Rafael Benitez has revealed that he is "delighted" with Keylor Navas's performances for the Los Blancos thus far this season.
The Costa Rican came close to leaving the Bernabeu in the summer in a deal that would have seen David de Gea move from Manchester United.
However, that particular deal broke down at the final minute and Navas has made the number one position his own in the early stages of the season.
"I'm delighted for Keylor and delighted with him. When it was possible he might leave I was calm because I knew whatever happened I would have a great goalkeeper," Benitez told COPE.
Navas saved a penalty from Antoine Griezmann in Sunday's Madrid derby against Atletico Madrid.
