Real Madrid's Casemiro has insisted that he can be a key player for the club this season as the competition for opportunities in midfield continues to increase.
The Spanish giants confirmed the signing of Mateo Kovacic from Inter Milan on Tuesday to add to the options in Rafael Benitez's squad as they look to close the gap on Barcelona after finishing two points behind the champions last season.
Despite being forced to battle the likes of Kovacic, Lukas Modric and Toni Kroos for a spot in the side, Casemiro is confident that he can make an impact after impressing on loan at Porto.
"He's another player to help. I'm happy with it," the Brazilian told Marca when asked about Kovacic's arrival.
"I'm back here to be important, to help Madrid and I'm available to the Coach, to go out like a bull and fight to help the team."
Real start their La Liga campaign against Sporting Gijon on Sunday.
