Midfielder Casemiro has claimed that Gareth Bale "has to play" in Real Madrid's starting lineup this season.
Despite being heavily linked with an exit from the Bernabeu, it now appears that Bale will spend the campaign representing Los Blancos.
Manager Zinedine Zidane handed the Wales international a start against Celta Vigo on Saturday afternoon, which resulted in the attacker contributing an assist during a 3-1 victory.
Having made a positive impression in the La Liga opener, Casemiro feels that Bale should be provided with a run in the first XI going forward.
Casemiro is quoted by The Mirror as saying: "He has given us titles, he's scored in finals and he has a lot of respect from us all. He has to play. He's a great player and is very important for us."
Bale still has three years remaining on his contract at the club.
