Real Madrid goalkeeper Iker Casillas has criticised Xavi for the Barcelona midfielder's comments in relation to an event that occurred in El Clasico last month.
Barcelona midfielder Sergio Busquets was pictured allegedly stamping on Madrid centre-back Pepe in the league meeting, which Barcelona won 4-3 courtesy of a Lionel Messi hat-trick.
Casillas reacted angrily to the incident in the media, which led to a response from Xavi, who hinted that Casillas was "very unfair" to speak of Busquets in such a manner.
"If Xavi has a problem with me, he has to talk about it calmly to me and not give out free publicity to fill TV shows," Casillas told reporters at a press conference.
"We don't need to give it any more thought. Let's put it to one side, as it's boring and tiresome."
All three Spaniards in question will be part of the La Roja squad for the World Cup this summer.
