Real Madrid midfielder Angel di Maria has insisted that he is good enough to earn a regular place in the club's starting lineup.
Di Maria had been linked with a move away from the Bernabeu after the arrival of Gareth Bale, but the Argentina international believes that he can still have an impact at the La Liga outfit.
The 25-year-old told Rock and Pop Radio: "I decided to stay, despite the players that were coming to the club. I knew that I was going through a good period and that I had the skills to play here.
"Coach Carlo Ancelotti told me that whoever is better will play. I think that Bale wasn't training in Tottenham so I guess I have a head start."
The former Benfica playmaker has made five appearances for Madrid this season.
