Former Liverpool player Luis Garcia does not think that Cristiano Ronaldo is fit enough after watching Real Madrid lost the capital derby 4-0 to Atletico Madrid.
Goals from Tiago, Saul Niguez, Antoine Griezmann and Mario Mandzukic earned the hosts an emphatic victory at the Vicente Calderon, and Garcia was surprised by Ronaldo's limited involvement in the game.
He told Sky Sports News: "I think he's not in shape – he's not 100 per cent. When you saw Ronaldo playing before you saw him strong, he had the speed, the power. Today he looked like his legs were not strong enough.
"He was losing the pace, he gave the ball away very easily, and it's not the Cristiano we are used to. He's that player who wants to win and wants to score in every minute of the game, he works hard – he didn't make any good runs.
"Obviously the whole team didn't play well, but you are Cristiano Ronaldo – you have to put the team behind you and try to help your team-mates and get involved more in the game. He didn't do that You could see he was walking around the pitch, and that's not Cristiano Ronaldo."
Real Madrid remain four points clear at the top of La Liga.
