Real Madrid midfielder Isco has revealed his delight after scoring twice in Los Blancos' 6-1 win over Real Betis on Saturday night.
The Spanish international has struggled for minutes in the early stages of the campaign, but was handed a start against Betis in La Liga and justified his selection with a brace during the impressive away win.
It has been claimed that Isco has a difficult relationship with head coach Zinedine Zidane, but the 24-year-old has insisted that the Frenchman 'gives him confidence'.
"We needed a game like that. I needed a little confidence and that's what I gained. I have lacked minutes and I still hope to slowly pick up more," Isco told reporters.
"I lack confidence in myself, but the coach has given me confidence from the outset. When things do not go as you'd hoped you have to work harder than before, work every day and seize opportunities."
Isco was strongly linked with a move to Tottenham Hotspur in the latter stages of the summer transfer window.
