Carlo Ancelotti was happy with the way that his Real Madrid players responded to their derby humiliation during yesterday's victory over Deportivo La Coruna.
Los Blancos were defeated 4-0 by city rivals Atletico Madrid last weekend, but they returned to winning ways against Deportivo in the Bernabeu on Saturday thanks to goals from Isco and Karim Benzema.
Speaking to reporters after the match, the Real head coach said: "The team reacted very well after a strange week. I expected to see this Real Madrid side.
"We were going to have difficulties but it was important to have the concentration and motivation needed to win, and in the end we did well.
"It was not an easy game. We played part of it well but we also had difficulties. It was a strange week, delicate and complicated and we have emerged with a win that is good for doing what we have always done."
Next up for Ancelotti's men is a Champions League clash against German side Schalke 04 on Wednesday evening.
