Brazil legend Pele has claimed that Lionel Messi has outshone Cristiano Ronaldo as the "best in the world" over the past decade.
The debate over which of the two players is better has been running for years, with few people able to reach a consensus.
Pele told BBC Sport: "At the moment people always try to compare Ronaldo with Messi [but] it's a different style. They are two great players, but in the past 10 years the best in the world was Messi."
Messi and Ronaldo are set to face off in Sunday's El Clasico between Barcelona and Real Madrid at the Camp Nou.
