Real Madrid duo Pepe and Fabio Coentrao face a spell on the sidelines after picking up muscle strains in the side's shock 1-0 loss at Levante.
Both players finished the game on Sunday, but scans have since shown the pair damaged muscles in their left legs. The club has not confirmed how long either player will be out for, AFP reports.
Pepe has been at The Bernabaeu since 2007 and fellow Portugese international Coentrao joined from Benfica in the summer.
Madrid's defeat was made worse as title rivals Barcelona thrashed Osasuna 8-0.
