Real Madrid captain Sergio Ramos has admitted that he was left 'frustrated' by his team's inability to overcome Real Betis in Saturday's La Liga clash at the Bernabeu.
Barcelona's 3-1 loss at Levante earlier in the afternoon meant that a win for Los Blancos on home soil would have seen them return to the top of the table.
Zinedine Zidane's side were unable to make the breakthrough against Betis, though, and Ramos has bemoaned the missed opportunity to lead the pack at this stage of the campaign.
"We are left with a sour taste at full time. We have lost a good opportunity to lead the league. Results have been in our favour, but we have not taken advantage, an that is frustrating," Ramos told reporters.
Madrid will be looking to make it back-to-back Champions League wins over Galatasaray when they welcome the Turkish giants to the Bernabeu on Wednesday night.
Zidane's team then face successive La Liga clashes with Eibar and Real Sociedad before hosting Paris Saint-Germain in the Champions League on November 26.
