Real Madrid captain Sergio Ramos has promised that his side will "make this badge win again" following their UEFA Super Cup defeat to city rivals Atletico Madrid on Wednesday night.
Real's post-Cristiano Ronaldo and Zinedine Zidane era got off to the worst possible start when they fell behind after just 49 seconds, and Atletico went on to win 4-2 after extra time despite Ramos's second-half penalty giving Los Blancos the lead at one stage.
New manager Julen Lopetegui will renew his search for a first competitive win in charge of the club against Getafe on Sunday, and Ramos has vowed that they will learn from the defeat.
Wednesday's result prevented Real from becoming the first team to lift the Super Cup three years in a row.
