Real Madrid star Cristiano Ronaldo has been issued with a two-match ban after his red-card offence against Cordoba last weekend.
The Portugal captain was given his marching orders after appearing to kick out at Edimar during his side's late 2-1 victory in La Liga.
The 29-year-old apologised for his actions after the game, but he has been punished with a two-match suspension.
The three-time Ballon d'Or winner will miss Madrid's meetings with Real Sociedad and Sevilla, but will be available for the local derby against Atletico Madrid on February 8.
