Real Madrid attacker Cristiano Ronaldo will miss Portugal's friendly clash with Gabon on Wednesday after sustaining an eye injury in Madrid's 2-1 win over Levante.
The 27-year-old suffered the knock in the La Liga clash on Sunday after a collision with David Navarro, but it had been thought that he would be fit for the clash.
However, Madrid boss Jose Mourinho has revealed that the blow has affected the former Manchester United midfielder's vision and therefore he will not take part for his country.
Ronaldo has made 100 appearances for his home nation.
