Former Real Madrid manager Bernd Schuster has praised Toni Kroos and believes that the midfielder has "everything a player needs".
The 24-year-old has been in impressive form for Madrid since joining in the summer, and scored his first goal for the club during their 5-1 win over Rayo Vallecano at the weekend.
"Kroos is everything I expected because he is a smart player and intelligence is very important in football," he told Marca.
"He has everything a player needs - vision, passing short and long - but I still think his best position, at least where I like him because he can exploit things, is a bit further forward."
Kroos scored twice for Germany in their World Cup-winning campaign this summer.
