Barcelona midfielder Xavi has insisted that there is no clear favourite for the La Liga crown this season.
The Catalan outfit currently sit second in the table, level on points with third-place Atletico Madrid and three behind league leaders Real Madrid.
However, the Spanish international has claimed that there will be twists and turns before the end of the campaign.
"All three of us are favourites, and Barca are the reigning champions," he told reporters at a press conference.
"We are in a favourable position although it's true that Madrid are in a better position than us right now. Our aim is to continue to fight in all three competitions; we're optimistic and we'll be waiting to see what the others do because they could drop points between now and the end of the season."
Barcelona won the La Liga title last season by 15 points.
