The son of former French international Zinedine Zidane has been called into the France Under-19 squad for the first time.
Enzo Zidane, 18, is currently part of the youth team set-up at Real Madrid and has been tipped to make the breakthrough at the Spanish club in the future.
The youngster, who was born in France, received a call-up to the Spanish Under-15 side in 2009 after qualifying for citizenship, but has chosen to represent Les Bleus at youth level.
"The player has decided to wear the blue shirt. He can still change in future but his current desire is to play for the France national team," France U21 coach Willy Sagnol told Le Parisien.
Enzo will take part at a training session in Clairefontaine next week.
