Real Madrid attacker Marco Asensio has insisted that the success of the team will always be more important than individual glory.
Asensio scored a stunning goal in Madrid's 3-0 victory over Las Palmas on Sunday night as the Spanish and European champions returned to winning ways following back-to-back defeats.
The 21-year-old was again praised for his performance at the Bernabeu, but the Spain international has revealed that he is not too interested in individual glory, rather the overall success of the team.
"We are a team, we don't look at who scores the goal or gives the assist. We're all paddling in the same direction," Marca quotes Asensio as saying.
Real Madrid are currently third in La Liga - eight points behind league leaders Barcelona after 11 matches of the 2017-18 campaign.
