Bayern Munich have won the Audi Cup, courtesy of a late Robert Lewandowski goal against Real Madrid.
Madrid almost took an early lead as ex-Munich man Toni Kroos sent a shot whistling inches past the post from 30 yards, but chances were largely limited in the opening period.
However, Munich almost took a half time lead as Thomas Muller's shot rebounded off Sergio Ramos and hit the post, before Mario Gotze had a low shot blocked by Keylor Navas.
After the break, the game opened up as Manuel Neuer made a flying save from a Kroos free kick, before Mehdi Benatia missed a header from close range for the hosts.
Lewandowski then missed a golden chance to put Munich ahead as he missed the target from five yards after Douglas Costa found him with a low cross.
Munich remained on top as Juan Bernat darted down the wing and cracked a shot which Navas had to punch clear, before they finally made a late breakthrough.
Costa's free kick was not dealt with by Madrid, and Lewandowski found the net at the far post.
