The agent of Bayern Munich centre-forward Robert Lewandowski has confirmed that discussions are underway regarding a new contract for his client.
In recent weeks the Polish frontman has been heavily linked with a move away from the Allianz Arena, with Real Madrid said to be particularly interested.
However, his representative Cezary Kucharski has dismissed the notion that talks have taken place with other clubs and instead revealed that the 27-year-old is open to extending his stay in Bavaria.
"Yes, we have started talking [about a new contract]. I can confirm this," he told Polsat Sport.
"Today Lewandowski is in a team that suits him and there is no need to change anything."
Lewandowski's current deal with Bayern is not due to expire until the summer of 2019.
