Real Madrid boss Carlo Ancelotti has insisted that he 'does not know' whether Paris Saint-Germain's Kylian Mbappe will be joining the club this summer.
The France international's contract in Paris is due to expire at the end of June, meaning that he is currently free to discuss terms with foreign clubs, and Los Blancos are said to lead the race for his signature.
When questioned on the World Cup winner ahead of Sunday's La Liga clash with Getafe, Ancelotti said that he is only currently focusing on the second half of the 2021-22 campaign.
"I don't know," Ancelotti told reporters when asked whether the 23-year-old would move to Bernabeu. "We're thinking about fighting for titles. It's an interesting time because we're fighting for LaLiga [Santander], and the Copa del Rey and Supercopa de Espana are starting too.
"It's an important period. The last thing I'm thinking about is what's going to happen on June 30."
Mbappe has again been in impressive form for PSG during the 2021-22 campaign, scoring 15 times and registering 15 assists in 24 appearances in all competitions.
Real Madrid are allegedly planning to sign both the French attacker and Borussia Dortmund's Erling Braut Haaland ahead of the 2022-23 campaign. body check tags ::
