David Beckham has reportedly put Real Madrid forward Gareth Bale near the top of his wishlist at Inter Miami.
The former Manchester United and England midfielder is among the co-owners at the club, who will join the MLS next year.
According to El Confidencial, Beckham wants to sign a top-level player to bolster interest in the franchise ahead of their maiden season in America's biggest domestic football league.
Bale, who has largely been deemed surplus to requirements at Real by Zinedine Zidane and was heavily linked with a move to China during the summer, is believed to be top of Miami's wishlist for a big, marquee signing.
The report also suggests that Uruguayan internationals Edinson Cavani and Luis Suarez are amongst their more ambitious targets.
