Real Madrid boss Carlo Ancelotti has insisted that Luka Modric will "finish his career" at the club.
The Croatian has been in impressive form for Los Blancos during the 2021-22 campaign, making 37 appearances in all competitions, contributing three goals and nine assists in the process.
Modric's current deal at Bernabeu is due to expire at the end of June, though, and the two parties are yet to reach an agreement over an extension.
A recent report claimed that the experienced midfielder has two offers to leave Bernabeu on a free transfer this summer.
However, Ancelotti has said that the 36-year-old 'will not have any problems' signing a new deal, with the veteran set to "finish his career" in the Spanish capital.
"Modric will finish his career here at Real Madrid, this is the idea of the club and Luka. He won't have problems to renew," Ancelotti told reporters.
"I coached a football legend, [Paolo] Maldini, who won the Champions League at the age of 40. I have to compare Luka Modric with a player, it would be with him: for the quality, for the seriousness, for how he understands football... they are legends."
Modric has scored 31 goals and registered 70 assists in 428 appearances for Real Madrid since making the move from Tottenham Hotspur in August 2012. body check tags ::
