AC Milan CEO Adriano Galliani has admitted that it is unlikely that his club could persuade Real Madrid to part with Karim Benzema in this summer's transfer window.
As speculation linking Bayern Munich's Robert Lewandowski with Real Madrid continues to grow, the future of Benzema is also being called into question.
It had been claimed that Milan held talks with Benzema's representative last week, but Galliani has insisted that no meetings have taken place regarding the France international.
"We never talked about Benzema with Real Madrid or his entourage," Galliani told Mediaset Premium. "He's very much admired by the coaches, directors and president of Real Madrid, so we never thought of reaching him."
Benzema is currently with his Real Madrid teammates in Milan ahead of Saturday night's Champions League final.
