Real Madrid midfielder Luka Modric has reportedly emerged as a key component in any deal which could take Neymar to the Bernabeu.
Despite being just two years into a five-year contract at Paris Saint-Germain, Neymar wishes to leave Parc des Princes before the end of the summer transfer window.
However, despite a return to Barcelona being his preference, it has been suggested that the two clubs may struggle to reach an agreement in the coming weeks.
Real Madrid are also regarded as a potential destination, and The Times claims that the completion of a transfer could hinge on whether Modric wishes to sign for PSG.
The report adds that the French giants would prefer to bring in the central midfielder over any other potential options, which is said to include Gareth Bale.
As well as including Modric, Real would allegedly have to pay £149m to bring a positive end to negotiations.
