Real Madrid will reportedly launch a bid for Marco Verratti in the event that Luka Modric leaves the Bernabeu next summer.
Los Blancos are determined to sign a midfielder and reportedly expressed interest in Paul Pogba, Christian Eriksen and Donny van de Beek over the summer.
Having failed to land Verratti in the past, the Italian is said to be considering his future and would be open to moving to Spain should Paris Saint-Germain once again fail in the Champions League this season.
According to a report from Spain, Florentino Perez is keen to sign the 26-year-old should Modric, now 34, vacate his spot in the team over the summer.
It is claimed that Verratti believes that both Neymar and Kylian Mbappe will only spend one more season at the Parc des Princes.
The midfielder, who has made 282 appearances for the Paris club, is said to be valued at around £100m by the PSG hierarchy.
