Napoli have reportedly identified Real Madrid forward Karim Benzema as a possible summer signing.
Since the end of last season, Carlo Ancelotti has replaced Maurizio Sarri in the dugout at the Serie A club and it could result in a reunion with a former player.
According to the Daily Mail, Ancelotti wants to sign Benzema for the Italian club, with Real currently in the process of reshaping their squad after the arrival of Julen Lopetegui.
Benzema has scored 182 goals in all competitions for Real, but just 10 strikes came in La Liga and Champions League fixtures during the last campaign.
The France international still has three years remaining on his contract, but Ancelotti is said to be prepared to give the green light regarding a bid in the region of £40m.
