Real Madrid are reportedly contemplating whether or not to make a move for former Paris Saint-Germain striker Edinson Cavani.
The 33-year-old was used as a bit-part player for the majority of the 2019-20 campaign with PSG, making just 14 appearances in the French top flight and scoring four goals in the curtailed season.
Cavani is now a free agent having recently seen his contract with the Ligue 1 champions expire, and the South American is expected to be a man in demand during the summer transfer window.
According to Gazzetta dello Sport, Real Madrid will look at bringing Cavani to the Bernabeu if they can offload out-of-favour strikers Luka Jovic and Mariano Diaz.
The report claims that Cavani is keen on a move to the La Liga champions, and while the striker's proposed move to Benfica fell through over salary demands, personal terms are not expected to pose a problem for Real.
Leeds United had also been credited with an interest in the Uruguay international, but the Premier League outfit are now closing in on a deal to sign Rodrigo from Valencia.
